3D Motion Software Setup (V1)

Please review the Kinect Setup guide if you need help to get the camera working.

Note that we’re working to move our installer into the Windows Store, which will be a much cleaner installation experience - in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any issues getting started.

The latest 3D Motion installer is available here. Note that you may get a warning from Windows about the download - this is purely based on the fact that this is specialist software and relatively infrequently downloaded. If this happens you will need to select the option to “Download Anyway” or similar terminology.

When the installer has downloaded, please be careful to run it only once. The best way is to click on it once to select it, and then press the “Enter” key on your keyboard to run it and give it a few seconds to begin the install. (If you accidentally run the installer twice, the second copy will “trip over” the first copy and you’ll have installation issues).

When the software has installed, it will run automatically and you’ll see the sign-in window (below). At this point you’re finished with the installer and can delete it - next time you want to run 3D Motion, find it in your start menu and run it from there. You can also right-click on the icon in the task bar and select “Pin to taskbar” for easier access in the future.

When you open the software you will be presented with a log in screen. Please enter the same username and password that you have set for our website.

If you have forgotten your username and password, you can reset it by clicking “Forgot password” from the online sign-in page.

The system will remember a successful sign-in for 24 hours, so you won’t need to log in multiple times per day. After 24 hours you’ll be prompted to sign in again - if you need to use the system somewhere without internet access, there is a grace period of a few days, but you’ll eventually need to sign in again to continue using the app.

Navigate to: Settings>Logo

Use “Set store logo” to navigate to the folder on your computer where your store logo is stored. The image will be resized to 300x80px so you will have a higher quality image shown if you upload a logo of that size (or at least that ratio)

Navigate to Settings>Fitters and enter the names of your team (one name per line)
